Flav-R-Pac Joins Forces with Bucket List Racing, Sponsors U-40
SNOHOMISH, Wash. – Bucket List Racing has seen its highs and lows over the last two seasons, and today the team celebrates a high-water mark as it introduces its new sponsor.
Flav-R-Pac Frozen Fruits & Vegetables has become the primary sponsor of the U-40 for the remainder of the 2023 H1 Unlimited Championship Series.
“This obviously is a big day for our team,” said Bucket List Racing Co-Owner Kelly Stocklin. “To be partners with such a great brand – not to mention one that values partnerships in the motorsports spectrum – is really special to us. As you can imagine, we are thrilled to join the ranks of teams supported by Flav-R-Pac.”
The new sponsorship truly is a big deal, for the team and for unlimited hydroplane racing.
“We thank Frank Tiegs and Flav-R-Pac for this new partnership and their involvement in unlimited hydroplane racing,” said Bucket List Co-Owner Sharon Stocklin. “The sport is so exciting and to have another national brand like Flav-R-Pac join the boat racing family as a partner with our team is a really big deal. We’re very excited about this new partnership.”
The team will unveil a new livery on the boat that set the world speed record for qualifying on a 2.5-mile course just a month ago in Guntersville, Ala. Driver Dustin Echols piloted the U-40 to a lap average of 171.294 mph to set the freshwater record.
After a devastating blowover crash in the final heat at the Madison Regatta July 2, the team quickly rebuilt the boat and will have it ready for the Columbia Cup in Kennewick, July 28-30, complete with a new livery featuring the sponsorship from Flav-R-Pac. Bucket List Racing also plans to campaign the U-440 Boitano Homes at the Columbia Cup and the APBA Gold Cup at Seafair in Seattle.
Flav-R-Pac Frozen Fruits and Vegetables also supports John Force Racing, which includes Brittany Force’s top fuel dragster and Robert Hight’s Camaro funny car. Flav-R-Pac was also the title sponsor of the NHRA Northwest Nationals this past weekend at Pacific Raceways in Seattle.
About Bucket List Racing
Owned by Kelly & Sharon Stocklin, Bucket List Racing was born in 2012 when the couple decided to “check off a bucket list item” and has been racing an unlimited hydroplane ever since. For eight years, the team campaigned a smaller hydroplane with a smaller turbine powerplant and achieved various levels of success, including a 150-plus mile per hour lap in qualifying at the Guntersville Hydrofest in 2019. In 2020, Bucket List Racing purchased the current U-40 and created a team that immediately made the craft a force in H1 Unlimited. The team set the freshwater world speed record for a qualifying lap this June at Guntersville with Dustin Echols at the wheel. A veteran of Bucket List Racing, Crew Chief Taylor Evans has led the shop and race crew since the team started the U-40 program.
