H1 Unlimited has a long history, colorful characters and many, many stories to tell. David Newton began “Roostertail Talk” as a way of introducing fans to current and former drivers, owners, sponsors and other personalities associated with the sport.  It is dedicated for preserving the history, breaking down the racing and looking to the future of the incredible sport of Hydroplane racing.

Roostertail Talk presents new podcast episodes on a regular basis (usually every couple weeks) and is available on Apple,  Spotify, Buzzsprout and Audible, as well as on the Roostertail Talk website.

My name is David Newton and I am the host and creator of Roostertail Talk.

If you can’t tell, I am passionate about hydroplane racing. I have been around the sport in one way or another since I was born. 

My father was a crew member on several teams that I was fortunate to help out on as well. 

I currently live in Renton, WA, have a young son and in my spare time I teach reading to Middle School students.

It is my goal to continue the hydroplane chatter in the off-season and get stories about the boats, that you may not ever get the chance to hear. 

But most of all, I hope you enjoy this podcast!
