Webster Racing – On the Comeback Trail

The road to Sacramento was especially long and difficult for Webster Racing and not just in terms of geography or miles travelled.

When the 22 arrives in Sacramento this week, it will mark a triumphant return to the sport after a devastating crash at the Detroit APBA Gold Cup last July and a complete rebuild of the race boat in the team’s Redding, Pennsylvania shop.

As the team made a stop in Madison, Indiana for some finishing touches, they got some very welcome news on the sponsorship front.

David Kurokawa, Owner of Rocky Mountain WindowTint in Sacramento, announced Sunday that his company will sponsor Webster Racing’s U-22 at Big Wake Weekend on Folsom Lake May 31-June 2. Hampton Inn And Suites Folsom and M&S Auto are joining Rocky Mountain WindowTint to help the Webster Racing entry at their first race on the H1 Unlimited circuit.

“I am excited to sponsor Webster Racing at Sacramento,” said Kurokawa. “This is my hometown, so being associated with such a great team makes this special. Last year, the boat was nearly destroyed at Detroit. Webster Racing has worked so hard to rebuild the boat and make it faster than ever, so sponsoring them just seemed like the right thing for Rocky Mountain WindowTint to do.”
