In a brief statement on the team's web site, Billy and Jane Shumacher announced that they have come to an amicable parting of the ways with driver Jean Theoret.
In the statement, Billy Schumacher says, "We wish Jean all the best -- he is a good friend who was instrumental in our teams success including an incredible Gold Cup win. Jean was a true asset to our organization and we fully support him in whatever path he decides."
"The future is exciting for the U-37," added Schumacher. "The crew is
hard at work preparing for the 2010 H1 season, with construction
continuing on a new state of the art hull and upgrades to our engine
program."
A new driver for the U-37 will be announced in the near future.
