Steve Montgomery

Once again, Steve Montgomery will anchor live internet coverage of the Oryx Cup UIM World Championship from Doha, Qatar January 11 & 12.

All heats of racing both days will be streamed live.  The viewing portal will be available here on the H1 website.

A production crew from Tampa Digital Studios in Tampa will produce the coverage, working with British producer Peter Butler’s camera crew from London.

 The race coverage will also be seen at a date to be announced on Fox Sports and Root Sports in the US with Bill Weber and Mike Allen providing the commentary..

Montgomery commented, “We want to assure the fans that we have done everything possible to create an internet feed that will deliver a good stream to viewers in the US and around the world.  We have set up the best connection available from the Corniche in Doha, where we have had challenges in the past.  It is what it is, and we are hoping for the best.”

Fans in the US are planning all-nite viewing parties, including one that has become a tradition at the Hydroplane & Race Boat Museum in Seattle.  With the Final Heat scheduled for 3pm Doha time Saturday, the time difference means Seattle fans will see it at 4am.
