Steve David Tops BWW Qualifying
Jimmy Shane in the 5 Graham Trucking and Steve David in the 1 Oh Boy! Oberto during testing for BigWake Weekend.
Steve David of Lighthouse Point, Florida drove the Madison, Indiana based 1 Oh Boy! Oberto to the top of the qualifying ladder for BigWake Weekend on Sacramento’s Folsom Lake with an average speed of 150.441 mph on the two mile course.
David returned to the course and raised his speed to 153.191 but that run was disallowed by a technical infraction.
The H1 Unlimited series is returning to Folsom Lake after a hiatus of 46 years. Racing begins with Heat 1A at 5pm Saturday with the Championship Final Heat scheduled to go at 4pm Sunday.
