INTERACTIVE EXHIBITS AND ACTIVITIES

If Lake Washington hosts all the action on the water, then Genesee Park is the place for fun on land. This year Seafair has added more games, more entertainment, more everything.

Hydro 101

Hydro 101 is an interactive tent that will help educate people on hydroplane racing and display the parts and gear that makes it all possible. The Hydro 101 tent will feature a real life Mannequin in a drivers suit, an F1 hydroplane engine and interactive videos in which patrons can further their knowledge of the sport. The booth will be in Genesee Park throughout Seafair weekend and is open to the public.

Clydesdales

The Budweiser Clydesdales are coming to Seafair Weekend! They heralded a new era of prosperity for Anhesuer-Busch, and a weary nation’s return to optimism. From their first appearance in 1933 to their enduring presence on the American landscape, the Clydesdales are more than the symbol of Budweiser beer; they are the living embodiment of America’s great industrial spirit!

Walking Papers

Seafair is proud to welcome Walking Papers to Seafair Weekend! Composed of established members of the Seattle music community, such as Duff McKagan, former bassist of Guns N’Roses and Barrett Martin, former multi-instrumentalist for Screaming Trees,Walking Papers brings decades of experience and dedication their craft. The band’s music is instantly familiar, yet profoundly forward thinking, blending impactful singer/songwriting, ’90s alternative and classic rock into a transcendent amalgam of breathtaking sounds and melodies. The band has been voted top 20 bands of the year by Classic Rock magazine. The bands performance will be held Sun, Aug 4th at Genesee Park on Lake Washington.

-In honor of the upcoming Disney movie PLANES, Seafair will incorporate a new interactive booth with exciting activities for kids at Seafair Weekend! The little ones will have a chance to track the air crafts whizzing above them with the Air Show Checklist activity and create their own PLANES characters from paper. PARK RULES & REGULATIONS

• No alcoholic beverages will be allowed through the entrance gate. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted.

• Lawn chairs are permitted inside the park.

• No pets are allowed through the entrance gate with the exception of aid-dogs.

• Shoes are required in certain areas (closed toe shoes are required in pits).

• Bicycles not allowed in the park. A bike coral is located at the Main Admissions Gate.

• No firearms allowed.

• Portable BBQ’s are permitted in the park.

Special restrictions and local regulations have been established in order to promote safety of these events for both performers and spectators alike. These boating restriction and local regulations will be enforced by federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
