Madison Plans Event for Steve David

09 Drivers 01-01Miss Madison, Inc. announces an evening to honor our retiring champion, Steve David, at the  Boneyard Grill, 513 Clifty Drive, Madison, IN 47250 on Friday, November 8, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The event is open to the public and all are invited to stop by the restaurant to congratulate Steve on his retirement after 13 years as driver of the Oh Boy! Oberto sponsored Miss Madison.  There will be no admission charge.

Steve first stepped into an unlimited hydroplane in 1988 driving Jim McCormick’s U-4.  In 1991, he moved to Jim Harvey Motorsports capturing his first unlimited victory in the U-2 in 1993 at the Texas Hydrofest.  In 1999, Steve retired from unlimited hydroplane racing, but was soon coaxed out of retirement to drive the U-6 Oh Boy! Oberto/Miss Madison.  During Steve’s tenure as pilot of the Oh Boy! Oberto/Miss Madison, he captured 6 National High Point Driver Championships including National High Points Championships for the team in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012.
