57 Race Team For Sale
Mark Evans has announced plans to sell his Unlimited race team and move on to new projects that could include automotive power and a whole new way to build Unlimited Hydroplanes.
Evans says he can offer a buyer a “A great driving well maintained Mack Truck full of spare parts and supplies to tow the boat. An Eagle brand custom tilt trailer that pulls down the road great, and the famous 57 hull with a Whispering Turbine engine, maintained by Screamin Turbine’s and the 57 team.”
Evans says, “Contact me if you would like to get in to an Unlimited Hydro for a great price. We have lots of resources and an enthusiastic crew that would still like to race.”

Speaking of the U-4, Evans says his plans include having his “4 seater” at every race on the H1 circuit in 2014, with new outboard power that will give fans and media a chance to experience an Unlimited ride at more than 100 mph.
As for the future, Evans says, “I would like to tell fans that I am now involved with Murdo Cameron and Team Miss Spokane to help build a set of Unlimited Hydroplane Molds that will be available to anyone to use, for a fee, to build an Unlimited Hydroplane. It should cost a lot less to assemble than in the past and will be much stronger and lighter weight. Although Murdo and students at the North Idaho College are building these molds primarily for turbine powered Unlimited’s, I’m going to build one with auto power! This auto program should be on the water in 2015!”
