Kelly Stocklin flips on Mission Bay during testing at Bayfair
Kelly Stocklin, 64, driver of the U-18 Bucket List Racing flips last Friday on Mission Bay after hitting a parallel wave (video). Stocklin was preparing for last Sunday’s San Diego Bayfair when the boat flipped.
Stocklin said, “I am taking some time off from driving and contemplating going into a managerial role.” He also said he will continue making propellers for H1 Unlimited teams similar to the one he created for U-27 Wiggins Racing that preformed so well last weekend with the Wiggins team.
Stocklin suffered some fractured back bones and is currently in Sacramento, Calif. returning to his home in Edmonds, Wash. via R/V.
