Live Video, H1 App Ready For H1 Season Opener
With the MainSource Bank Indiana Governor’s Cup presented by Belterra Casino and Resort set to kick off the H1 Unlimited Hydroplane season (July 1-3), H1 Chairman Steve David not only made it official Go Live Sports Cast will live video stream the race on Saturday (July 2) and Sunday (July 3), he also announced the new H1 2016 app is now in “Race Mode”.
“The H1 app is now your landing page, giving you a heads-up on all H1, team events, and displays as we get ready to race,” said Steve David. “The Madison race schedule is available on the bottom bar of the app, so you know when to be watching, and we will be posting heat assignments, race results and points tracking once we start racing.”
“Now with the return of Go Live Sports Cast to video stream the race, we have H1 Unlimited Hydroplane Racing and information at the touch of a button on almost all of your personal communication and social media platforms.”
While the H1 2016 app is new, Go Live Sports Cast will return for its second year of H1 video streaming.
“This year, we sent an RFP (Request for Proposal) to three different organizations and Go Live Sports Cast came through with the best deal for H1 Unlimited Hydroplane,” said David. “We worked with Go Live in 2015, and we feel the lessons learned last year will help our production quality of the event.”
Go Live Sports Cast is the broadcast service for the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL), the largest professional indoor soccer league in North America, and also broadcasts mixed martial arts, boxing, ice hockey and prep sports along with hall of fame ceremonies, political conferences and a myriad of other professional and amateur events.
The announcement guarantees a web-based TV program for the first three races on the H1 circuit. Seattle and Tri-Cities will have local television broadcasts and web delivery of those two national races on KIRO-TV and KNDU-TV, respectively.
“We have signed a Letter of Agreement only for the Madison race at this time,” added David. “We are working towards an agreement with Go Live for the Detroit Gold Cup and San Diego races.”
David will be race analyst for the Madison race with Bruce Madej calling the play-by-play and Dave Campbell working the pits.
Madej is currently handling PR for H1 but has worked TV/Radio play-by-play for Unlimited, Limited and Offshore boat racing along with numerous other sports. He was also the PA announcer for various races in the Midwest including the APBA Detroit Gold Cup. Along with David and Madej, Dave Campbell, an 18-year veteran sports reporter for The MadisonCourier, will handle the pit reports.
Along with the H1 Unlimited Hydroplanes, the American Power Boat Association Grand National and National Modified categories of racing will also be streamed live.
The new H1 2016 app will provide individuals with race results, video links to live streaming and archived video, photos, schedule changes and other timely info that will impact the fans enjoyment of our events. Some of the H1 2016 app features will be exclusive, and will not appear on the website or social media platforms.
“The addition of the H1 app will do more to connect our fans at the race site and home by supplying more info quicker than ever before,” added David. “Video plays an important role in our sport, and this app will provide links not only to race itself but links to other boat races throughout the years. If you haven’t installed the app on your phone, get it done before Madison.”
