Tribute to Hydro Legend Bill Wurster on Saturday
On Saturday September 24, from 3 to 6 pm at the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum, teams and fans are invited to an Open House to enjoy and share your favorite memories of Bill Wurster. He passed away on August 1 at the age of 93.
Wurster raced unlimited hydroplanes from 1972 to 1978 but was probably better known as one of the top owners in the sport from 1976 to 2005. His boats won eight unlimited hydroplane race titles in that period.
Feel free to bring your favorite historical photos to share. Team dress uniform optional. Light appetizers and beverages will be served.
