On May 31, 2024, seven H1 Unlimited teams gathered on the banks of the Columbia River for a day long test session designed to gather valuable data ahead of the season-opener in Guntersville.

The seven hydroplanes that tested:

• U-1 – Beacon Electric, J. Michael Kelly
• U-9 – Beacon Plumbing, Corey Peabody
• U-11 – Miss Mercury’s Coffee Co., Jamie Nilsen
• U-12 – Graham Trucking, Bobby King
• U-21 – Lakeridge Paving, Gunnar O’Farrell
• U-40 – Bucket List Racing, Dustin Echols
• U-91 – Miss Goodman Real Estate, Andrew Tate

Though speeds were recorded and data monitored, not all runs were legal “by the book”, as fuel flow rates or N2 speeds were exceeded by most teams during their time on the water.  Andrew Tate in the U-91 Miss Goodman Real Estate posted the top legal speed of the day, at a blistering 165.828MPH!
