Apollo To Title Sponsor Charley Wiggins’ U-27 Program With Driver Dave Villwock
Rainbow City, AL.. – Dave Villwock, H1 Unlimited’s winningest driver, with 67 race victories, including 10 APBA Gold Cups, and 10 National High Points Championships, has teamed up with Charley Wiggins to present one of the most technologically advanced Unlimited hydroplanes ever constructed. The composite craft, utilizing carbon fiber and other advanced materials, was largely built over the last two years. With a new title sponsor, Apollo out of Kennewick, WA, the team is expected to seriously challenge the entire fleet of Unlimiteds, which begin the 2024 H1 Unlimited Season in Guntersville, AL, June 28-30.
Apollo, who is title sponsoring the Tri-Cities Water Follies Event for the next 3 years, is also the title sponsor at Seattle’s Seafair event this summer. “It’s an honor to be a part of the rich tradition of unlimited hydroplane racing and these two family festivals, that mean so much to the State of Washington. I have followed the sport for many years, and now to be the title sponsor of the Wiggins program with Dave Villwock, is a great honor. I am excited, our employees are excited, and our customers are excited.” remarked Bruce Ratchford, Founder and CEO.
Apollo Mechanical is a leader in the construction of labs, health care, mission critical facilities, hospitality, government facilities, K-12, and higher education as a full-service mechanical contractor and is listed as Number 5 in Mechanical Contracting Companies in the United States. With a nationwide presence and a commitment to excellence, Apollo Mechanical continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible, just like the Apollo program that inspired its name. It’s this same kind of dedication, perseverance, and know-how that exemplify the U-27 Miss APOLLO Unlimited Hydroplane, which will make its highly anticipated debut at the Apollo Cup in Tri-Cities, July 26-28. The boat’s patriotic theme is surely to become a fan favorite.
