Eric Christensen Brings U-2 to H1 Unlimited
Eric Christensen is proud to announce formation of a new unlimited hydroplane race team. Christensen Motorsports home port is Buckley, Washington. Eric explains the details of the new team. “For the 2025 H1 Unlimited Hydroplane, I will be driving the U-2 Fraternal Order of Eagles which I purchased last month from Miss Madison Racing Inc. The boat is in excellent condition and our crew will have it and a Lycoming T-55 L7C engine ready for the May 2025 Spring Testing session in Tri Cities, Washington.”
In addition to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the new team welcomes Albert Lee Appliance as a supporting sponsor. Christensen is excited about the two sponsors. “The Fraternal Order of Eagles is new to unlimited hydroplane racing and we look forward to their involvement with our team. We are also happy to bring back Albert Lee Appliance back to our sport.”
Eric Christensen, 42 years of age, has been involved in boat racing since 2000. He worked on Bill Wurster’s U-8 and Fred Leland’s U-100 hydroplane teams. He has raced in various limited-class hydroplanes. “I have raced 2.5 liter stock, E-350, Unlimited Lights, and Grand Prix class hydroplanes for the last twenty years. I last raced the GP-8 Grand Prix Fraternal Order of Eagles Grand Prix-class hydroplane during the 2024 season.” 2025 will be Eric’s rookie season on the H1 Unlimited circuit. “I am very exciting about this new venture.”
