Tough day for Team Red Dot/Spirit of Qatar at the Detroit APBA Gold Cup, the tea that is representing us while we finish the new boat.
Driver Jon Zimmerman was in a close race with Jimmy Shane in the 6 Oberto entering the first turn of lap 4 in Heat 2B when the boat appeared to bounce off a wave and take to the air. The boat did a complete 360 before landing right side up.
Jon was not injured but there is severe damage to the boat.
