At the Jones Racing shop in Enumclaw, Southeast of Seattle, crew chief Jeff Campbell heads up the team making repairs to the team’s race boat after it got high in the air above the Detroit River during the APBA Gold Cup and did a 360 with driver Jon Zimmerman aboard.
Zimmerman was not injured but the boat was banged up pretty good. The boat is getting a new left rear corner and other areas need attention as well.
Driver Jon Zimmerman – You break it, you fix it.
Asked about the schedule, owner Mike Jones replied, “We have no schedule.” Asked if the boat would make it to the Tri-Cities okay, Jones nodded.
The team will be putting in some long hours, but the hard work should pay off with a repaired 9 Les Schwab Tires – Team Red Dot at the HAPO Columbia Cup.
