The 2024 season for H1 Unlimited hydroplanes kicked off on Friday afternoon with a three-hour open test session at Guntersville Lake Hydrofest.

A total of six boats took to the ‘South’s Fastest Water’ on an afternoon complete with near perfect water conditions. The U-91 Miss Goodman Real Estate with Andrew Tate at the wheel turned the fastest lap of the session at 168.491 mph. The U-1 Beacon Electric of defending 2023 Champion, J. Michael Kelly was second at 167.807 mph.
