Webster Racing has announced that the 22 Great Scott! presents Matrix Systems will not return to action during the 2012 Air National Guard H1 Unlimited season.
Following the devastating blow-over crash Saturday on the Detroit River, the team assessed damage to the hull and determined the best course of action would be to return to the shop in Reading, Pennsylvania and begin an extensive rebuild and remodel that will see the boat ready for the 2013 season.
Scott Carson added that plans to run an experimental bio-fuel program will also be put on hold until the team returns to competition.
