11 Peters & May driver Tom Thompson remains in a Doha hospital under observation for injuries received in Heat 2A of the Oryx Cup UIM World Championship.  Thompson’s boat got airborne in traffic in the first turn and struck Brian Perkins’ 21 Snoqualmie Casino.  Thompson went over Perkins and landed with a violent impact, badly damaging the boats.

Thompson  suffered an injured left arm and other minor injuries and is expected to be released soon.
