Reinforced shell that forms the cockpit. Made from welded chromoly tubing, carbon fiber, Kevlar and bulletproof Lexan windows. It is egg-shaped at the back to help prevent damage in case of a rearward entry into the water – this design was adopted after Dave Villwock’s accident in 1997 in Tri-Cities.
